WELCOME TO FIG HILL FARM

Our beautiful little farm is situated in the rolling hills of Glamorgan Vale, Queensland. A Moreton Bay Fig tree is perched on the highest hill overlooking the property. The view from under the tree is breath-taking. Standing under the tree, in awe of creation, reminds me of the magnitude of God's goodness and love for us. His hand is over all. What a blessing it is to live and work in this wildly rugged, diverse, awe-inspiring, stunning country we call home!

As a rural Australian artist and surface pattern designer, I want to cherish the wonderful land we have been given that we are so much a part of. I want my art to be used to worship our Creator and to also create a deeper connection with our country and with each other.

I’m so grateful that through my art I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with some amazing Aussie brands to create beautiful, authentic, boutique products together. My hand painted patterns and designs on a product really make it come alive and give it that special, warm, earthy touch that comes from working with an artist.

I love to use my art not only celebrate Australia, but to work in harmony with other small Australian businesses. There is no better way to cheer on our country than by being ethically Australian owned, top quality and working in unity with other Aussie businesses.

Love our land. Love our animals. Love our people.

Be in awe always.

May my art deeply move you and help you form a deeper connection with the beauty of our rich and rugged land, it’s animals and it’s people.

love, helen

THE HEAVENS DECLARE THE GLORY OF GOD, AND THE SKY ABOVE PROCLAIMS HIS HANDIWORK.

-PSALM 19:1

I’m an Australian artist and surface pattern designer living in rural Queensland.

My style is a warm, earthy and inspired by everyday Australian country life, exploring our great country and the small moments we celebrate living on the land.

A kookaburra’s laugh. A farm kid running through the long grass. Crashing turquoise waves on crumbly golden sand. The cheeky heifer that jumped the fence again.

There’s an irresistible romance of the outback as the light of the sunset filters through the dust and the smell of campfire smoke. The land and it’s beauty and charm is so much a part of who we are. I want to bring that country charm from the wide open spaces into your home. I want to use what I have to worship the Creator of this splendour and to connect deeply to what we have been given.

About me

What I strive to be:

Be true. I believe that the things we surround ourselves with should reflect our true values and tell a story of what’s important to us. For me this is my faith, family & farm.

Be kind. You matter to me! It means so much to me that you’re here and I always want to be there for you, too. I’m always good for a yarn so don’t be afraid to drop me a line. The words we speak can build up or tear down. I want to speak life!

Be top notch. I’m not interested in cheap and dodgy. I’m all about quality that you can love for a lifetime and passed on to your grandchildren. It’s important to choose safe and organic products where possible. That’s what you’ll find in my store.

Be ethical. I do my very best to make sure the products I offer are produced in an ethical way by caring for the land, supporting the farmer and making sure everyone involved in the process is paid fairly and cared for at work.

Be Aussie! There’s no better way to show our love and appreciation for this great country than by supporting Australian made businesses. The amazing companies I work with are Australian and endeavour to source Australian products and materials where possible.
